Our AOE/COE caseload across Southern California keeps growing, and we need a seasoned field investigator who can own compensability investigations end to end — from the first interview to a report an attorney can hand straight to a judge.
About A.N. Investigations Inc.
A.N. Investigations Inc. is a California-licensed private investigation firm handling AOE/COE (arising out of employment / course of employment) workers’ compensation investigations for attorneys, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators throughout California. Our reports are built to hold up in litigation, and our field work reflects that standard.
About the Role:
You’ll cover assignments across Southern California — Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties — running AOE/COE compensability investigations from intake through final report. A year in, you’ll be trusted to take on complex, high-scrutiny claims with minimal oversight because your reports are consistently thorough, well-documented, and defensible.
What You’ll Do:
Conduct AOE/COE compensability investigations for workers’ compensation claims.
Conduct recorded interviews with claimants, witnesses, and other subjects
Schedule and coordinate interviews and field assignments to meet case deadlines.
Canvass locations to develop witnesses and gather supporting information
Secure supporting documentation from public and private sources.
Travel throughout Southern California — and occasionally beyond — for field assignments.
Write clear, detailed, court-ready investigative reports on tight turnarounds
Communicate case status and findings directly with claims examiners and adjusters.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
At least 5 years of experience conducting AOE/COE / workers’ compensation investigations.
Solid working knowledge of the California workers’ compensation claims process and AOE/COE standards.
Willing and able to travel regularly throughout Southern California for assignments.
Excellent report-writing skills — clear, detailed, and accurate under deadline.
Strong interviewing skills, with sound judgment in the field.
